Have you ever done a show and got booed? Many of the greats in music has such as, Luther Vandross and Lauryn Hill (footage below). These artist has made it in the hall of fame and considered greats in the music industry. Great example of turning a bad situation to a positive one.

One of the artist that I interviewed Deniro was booed when he did a show. He explains in the interview on what happened. Deniro is now signed to Juelz Santanna's Skullgang label. Can't wait to hear from this label.

Being booed is not a big deal but it is motivation. Don't take it as a lost, use that to energized yourself to do better, life is what you make it!

There's a new type of money, Currensy is killing the game being an up-comer. Well, he isn't really an up-comer, he's been in and out with record labels. He used to be signed to Lil Wayne's Cash Money Records, then to Terry Kennedy's Fly Society Record Label and now As Dame Dash first artist to rebuild Rockafella. I'm not sure what happened but now a lot of artist from Flyy Society is saying Fuck Currensy. Could it be he ditched them for Dame Dash? Who knows? Truth will come out sooner or later and I will be waiting. But for now I guess we will have to rock out with the mix-tapes. We are still waiting...

Where are you originally from?

I was born in Illinois, but I grew up in McAllen, Texas. It’s a city in South Texas, about 30 minutes from Mexico.

How old are you?

I’m 18

Your style is amazing, how did you start being in music?

I started playing guitar when I was 13. They needed some musicians at my church and I decided I wanted to help out. I have always loved music. I wanted to play every instrument.

Have you done any shows?

Yeah I’ve been playing shows for almost 2 years now. Most of them in my hometown but lately I’ve been playing in San Marcos, Texas where I go to school.

When is your next one?

I have a pretty big show March 13 in McAllen with Steel Train and Barcelona.

What was the best thing that happened to you while you perform?

I love to see and hear the audience’s reactions to my songs. It’s the greatest feeling in the world to see people singing along to one of my songs.

I understand that you have two talents which is singing and playing the guitar, which one did you realize you had the talent with first?

Probably playing guitar, I didn’t really get comfortable with my voice till recently. My voice has come a LONG way.

When you say you came along way do u mean you didn't know how to sing before and you trained yourself?

I just mean that I started off not sounding to good but after singing more and becoming more confident in my voice I got better.

Are you single and what are you looking for a that special girl?

I am single. When it comes to looking for a girl... I like artistic girls that are quiet but aren't afraid to speak their mind and call something out when it's wrong haha. I think I like quiet girls because I always have so much going on in my head it's nice to have someone who can slow me down and tell me to chill out.

What is your biggest inspiration to continue music?

I guess my biggest inspiration to continue is the fact that I love making music so much. I don’t think I could just stop doing it, I can't see myself doing anything else.

What is your favorite song to perform?

My favorite song to perform right now is a song I wrote called Bribing Love.

Do you write your music?

Yes, I write all the music and words. I’m not really good at playing other people’s songs, that’s probably why I don’t like playing cover songs.

What would you title your debut album?

Haha I was actually thinking about this the other day. I would probably self title it just because I don’t think I could come up with anything cool. I’m definitely open to suggestions.

Do you have any supporters?

Nah, no one loves me…haha just kidding. Yeah I would say I have a good amount of support coming in from my family and friends.

Your music puts me at peace and is very soulful what made you want to sing that type of music instead of the typical R&B?

I love R&B music, but I love jazz, folk, Rap, and a lot of other types of music. I guess I just don’t want to be labeled as one style of music so I try to pull from all my influences.

Who would you love to collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with Kid Cudi. He’s definitely one of the most innovative musicians out there right now. I really like his sound, it’s real and unique. He comes up with some crazy hooks.

Is there anyone that you admire as far as the entertainment world not talking about music? Why?

I can't really think of anyone in the entertainment world but one person I really admire is my dad. He works hard in everything he does and I hope to have that same kind of work ethic and outlook on life when I’m older.

If the music doesn't work out what is your back up plan?

Haha if you have a backup plan you’re setting yourself up for failure. For me it’s either I make it or... I make it.

What inspires your songs?

A lot of times I’ll write about past relationships and things that I’ve been through. I like to write music that’s relative.

What made you do a version on Alicia Keys song?

I’m a big Alicia Keys fan. I love her music, her involvement with charity, and she’s fine. She can do no wrong ha.

What should we expect from you this year?

You can expect a Ep to be released some time in April and possibly a Summer tour.

I'm 21 years old even though I look waaay younger.

I'm from Brooklyn,New York. East New York to be exact.

WHAT IS YOUR REAL NAME?
Gregory Bates but I HAATE my name so everyone calls me G or 100.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN RAPPING?
Since I was 13 years old.

HOW DID YOU START?
Well I was in junior high and good friend of mines named Levar would freestyle rap and write his own songs. He actually was pretty great at it too!! I found it to be cool because I grew up listening to hip hop music since I was like 3. Prior to me meeting Levar, I never knew a "regular dude" that spit. After watching him for awhile I thought to myself, "Hey I can do that". I started off battling and rapping in the cafeteria and then I gradually got to the point I'm at now where I'm writing full hip hop and r&b songs. I done came up!

WERE YOU EVER IN A GROUP OR A SQUAD? ARE YOU TOGETHER? WHY OR WHY NOT? (Deep sigh) Well I've been part of several different groups in the past. My 1st real situations that I can say I was dealing with were the E-Way Entertainment and Guap Gang situation. I recently separated myself from the E-Way Ent. situation. We weren't seeing eye to eye with a lot of things business wise. I made a lot of good music with them and had a lot of fun, but sometimes it's best to be a free agent.

WHO WAS YOUR INFLUENCE?
I have to say that my biggest influence has to be my environment and how I grew up. Had I had grown up any differently I don't believe I would have it in me to spit the way I spit and say the things I say. Everything I say in my rhymes is reality more or less.

WHEN YOU DID YOUR FIRST PERFORMANCE, WHAT WAS IT LIKE FOR YOU AND WHERE WAS IT?
Like most rappers or entertainers in general, my 1st experience performing was at a school talent show. It was exciting. I performed with my homey Bino. I recently reunited with him and he's featured on my latest mixtape that's dropping in March.

HOW DID YOU MAKE A NAME FOR YOURSELF?
I made a name for myself doing rap battles in my schools and in the hood. I was already somewhat popular so once people found out that I rapped I became known for that.

DID YOU EVER THINK IT WOULD GO THIS FAR?
Of course, and I'm just getting started.

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF YOUR MUSIC AND YOU KNOW THAT, BUT "VOICEMAIL" WAS MY FAVORITE. HOW DID YOU GET THAT CONCEPT & WHO IS THAT SINGING?
That song is a lot of people's favorite,lol. The singer on it was Fedarro. He's a singer and producer. He came up with the concept and the beat. I just added my swag to it.

YOU'VE DONE A LOT OF COLLABORATIONS IS THERE ANYONE IN PARTICULAR YOU LOOKING TO DO MUSIC WITH IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
The only artist that I haven't collabed with that I would want to work with are people who are signed. I have a few other favs like Meek Millz, Joey Jihad, and Max B. if he wasn't in jail.

DO YOU HAVE ANY MIXTAPES COMING SOON?
Yeah, I have Prince Of Hip Hop Volume 2: The Crown Remains coming in March and Prince Of Hip Hop Volume 3: Retaliation dropping this summer. Prince Of Hip Hop Volume 1 is out now!

ARE YOU BEEFING WITH ANYONE IF SO WHO AND WHY?
There's a lot of people beefing with me and hating on me but none of them are of my calibur. I answer when I feel like it and when I don't...they just don't get the free promo,lol.

ARE YOU WELL KNOWN IN NEW YORK?
I am but not as well known as I could be. I still have to reach out to a lot more people. It's a big city.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SHOWS COMING UP WHEN AND WHERE?
I'm performing at a showcase in Manhattan on February 21st in Manhattan. It's being thrown by Yung Money, Universal Records, and Interscope.

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT SITUATION WITH E-WAY ENTERTAINMENT?
Well like I said before there are no more business dealings between us. I just do me now. I'm dropping my 2nd mixtape in March and that's going to be my last E-Way project because I had already started it that way. I'm still making the same moves. The only difference is that I'm taking care of my own shit now and not anyone elses. There's no beef though if that's what you're asking.

WHO IS GUAP GANG AND WHERE ARE THEY?
Well Guap Gang consist of me, Showtime Shots, and Johnny Black a.k.a. L-Murda. I started that movement. That situation may revive itself soon but it depends on whether or not we all can get in sync. Those still are my brothers though. With or without music.

WHAT R&B ARTIST HAVE YOU WRITTEN FOR?
Only Onika and Runway Jah so far but I've written several r&b joints and I'm just looking for singers to bring them to life.

DO YOU GET A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THOSE AROUND YOU?
More or less, yes. The more I show and prove the more people rally behind me.

Harlem Born John Ancrum also known as Murda Mook is ready to step on the scene. Currently signed to Ruff Ryders Entertainment he has truly made his way from rags to riches.

He tells me growing up was hard but manageable, and that he always had the talent to rhyme. As he got older he used his rhyming skills to rap and now he is known because of it. As I listen to him I constantly hear crazy punch lines. Lines so crazy, I couldn't have thought of it even if I was his little sister. I asked Mook does he take these battle sessions personal and he tells me. At first when he was younger he took it personal but now he is able to let it roll off his back. All of that dosen't even matter anymore because now that he is signed he have no reason to keep battle rapping unless he still chooses to. In 2010 he has a mixtape dropping called Countdown to Murda and he has an all-star Ruff Ryders reunion album coming out. It will feature DMX, LOX, Drag-on, Eve, Cassidy, Swizz Beats and of course Murda Mook! They will also be going on tour and Mook himself is set to drop his first album in August. I know I am looking foward to it everything he has coming. He always knew his rapping will take him this far and I hope it continues to take him beyond.

I am more than pleased to post this blog about this group. Going into this interview I was very nervous but that went away very quickly. Even though they are on their way to the top they are humble and haven't forgotten where they came from.

New Jersey to be exact! Niko, Tarius, and Baby Boy are definitely the next group to keep the crowed and the charts "Rocking". They have performed with artist Young Steff, Young Leek and did a meet and greet with well known Bad Boy's group Day 26 just a name of few.

This Los Angeles native is coming through the game killing them with force! Al Pacino got what it takes to be up there with rappers Snoop Dogg and the Game.
At the age of 14 he got his inspiration from a Dipset video, and by 19 he has accomplished two mixtapes “Street lights” and “Sin City Tha Bonus Mixtapes”. As I listen to his mixtape “Sin City” there wasn’t one track on there I didn’t like. He states “Being a young mc I can bring fire to the music industry whether it’s a mixtape or an album”. I couldn’t agree more Al Pacino has talent and can take music to a new level. Full of confidence he states himself and Shyne as his favorite artist. Although he is hot by himself he would want to work with other artist such as Shyne, Rick Ross, Max B, French Montana, and Brisco. He plans on dropping more mixtapes this year and getting signed to a record label. He has a mixtape dropping in February named “The Pharmacist” following by a collaborative mixtape with fellow rapper Bad Knewz. He cites Maybach Music, Poeboy, and Def Jam as the record label of his choice. His rapping skills fits in best with those labels. Al Pacino got what it takes to make it in the music industry and I wish him the best.

Ray Ray...Talented In Every Way

Born in Phoenix, Arizona this triple threat Laray Thomas who goes by the name of Ray Ray can sing, dance, and rap. His song “High Top Fade” has over 7,000 plays on MySpace and over 5,000 plays on YouTube.
The song “High top Fade” came to play while he was in the studio with a friend rocking his high top fade and 80’s choice of clothing. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon the eighteen year old phenomenon is making more songs for people all over to jerk to. Thomas started singing in church at the age of 5 and started raping at the age of 15. In a recent interview he tells me he calls himself a sapper (laughs) meaning a rapper and singer. Thomas also states instead of having beef with people he has jerk. I can tell that’s he’s a comedian too. Thomas States “I think I’m different I mean I can sing, I can rap, and dance. Drake can low-key sing but I can Chris Brown sing when I really want to. I’m not like other singers or rappers I can do anything, on any topic, it really doesn’t matter. That’s what I think the game (meaning the music industry) needs right now. I couldn’t agree more! He cites Kanye West as one of his favorite rappers. Another one of his song “Bad News” has the beat and a sample of Kanye West’s “Bad News”. When asked what record label would he like to be signed to, instead of wanting to be signed to West’s GOOD music with well known rappers Common, Kid Cudi and singer John Legend. He chooses to be with Lil Wayne’s Young Money. I wish him the best of luck and is looking forward to hearing him on the radio. He is single and wants a shy girl, so ladies be on the lookout for this upcoming artist!

Young Lioness Teedra Moses

The first time I heard of Teedra Moses she was featured in a magazine. I can't recall which magazine but curiosity drove me to hear her music. I searched for her music and song after song I found myself loving every minute of it. By the end of the day I had bought a copy of her CD "Complex Simplicity". The melodies were on point, and the meanings of the songs were strong. There was some songs that really had you thinking like For A Lifetime, and Last Day. My favorite song was You Better Tell Her featuring Lil Scrappy. Somebody needs to tell Teedra she's hot! This R&B singer has yet to make a big splash in the industry but i guarantee she will. Moses is currently doing shows becoming known around the states. I'll say step aside Cassie and let a real singer make a hit. I'm anticipating your second CD and I can't wait to hear it. Everybody Rock to Teedra Moses in 2010!

Graceful at the Feet

Mykal Laury has accomplish many things in life by the age of 21. He has been in music videos such Beyonce's "Get Me Bodied" and "Freakum Dress". Laury has been involved with the agency Philadanco for a few years. He haves amazing dancing skills and a positive attitude . Having to work beside him at one point showed me that he is a hard worker and is dedicated to his dancing. I watched him as he jumps, twirls, and dances across the floor. Remembering step after step as he dances through his songs of choice. I am glad to have had the chance to dance beside him as he taught me many dance moves. He is currently on the Aida China Tour. I wish him the best of luck. Don't stop until we get enough!
